Week 2

This week was filled with tie dye art, t-shirts, rain and rainbows, rainbow sherbet, and frozen bananas!  We had some new campers this week and a new junior counselor, Karson!  Some of our lucky campers are on vacation this week and will return to camp later.  Have fun!!!

MONDAY

Playing with Legos in the morning is a favorite activity at summer camp.

Our grass heads are starting to sprout!  Keep an eye out for an update next week!

Cleaning up the extra dirt in the garden area.  Thank you Sam for bringing your garden tools to share!

TUESDAY

Rain, rain, go away!!  We had a really busy day for it being a rainy day!  The gym is set up for mass so we improvised and used the hallway and computer room for activities.  We also made some beautiful tie dye t-shirts!  I didn't get photos because my hands were in the dye. :(  We made more friendship bracelets and started on our rainbow "stained glass".  I love how they turned out.  They are hanging on the giant window catching the sun.

Musical chairs was a huge hit.

Playing with the 12 foot parachute was pretty exciting.

Pop Bottle Bowling was pretty competitive!  We have some awesome bowlers in our camp.  I think it was Sarah who scored the highest!

Ryder did an awesome job stepping in as a group leader for activities!

 FRIDAY FIELD TRIP

We went to the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum.  I would say everyone really enjoyed themselves.  Thank you to Miles' aunt Ryanne for joining us!  It was really neat to watch the kids engage in all the activities.  We probably could have stayed another hour.  They have added some new exhibits so there is a lot more to see and do!  All the kids were super well behaved and worked up their appetites by the time we left!

Such a little ham!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!  SEE YOU NEXT WEEK!!
